''Yoda'' is a character and a protagonist in the 'Star Wars' universe, who appears in all of the franchise's films except for 'Episode IV: A New Hope'. Yoda first appeared in the 'Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back' as a Jedi Master, who trains Luke Skywalker in the ways of the Jedi. His role within the universe was further expanded with appearances in the three films of the prequel trilogy.
Yoda died in 'Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi', when he was 900 years old.
