Originating in China Mahjong is a puzzle game that originally used traditional symbols drawn on tiles to represent the themes of benevolence, sincerity and ancestral respect. The game was created to be played in groups of four at a time, but over the years things have changed.
Mahjong now has a multitude of game types and most commonly is played as a solitaire style game in western parts of the world.

How to play Mahjong World
Mahjong World is a classic puzzle using Chinese Mahjong tiles that are laid out in three different shapes. Combine two matching tiles to clear them away and work your way through the layout.
A tile must be ‘free’ in order to make a match. For a tile to be free it cannot have another tile that covers any part of it, and it has to be completely free on either the left or right side. Tiles that are free to move are highlighted.
If you can’t find a pair then you can press the Hint button and the game will flash two matching free tiles. You will lose the value of the two tiles from your score for using the option. You have two hints per game.
If you can’t find a pair and have run out of Hints then you can Shuffle the tiles. This will move the positions of the remaining tiles. You have 1 shuffle per game. If there are no pairs available then the game will automatically shuffle the tiles. You will not lose your shuffle if the game does this automatically.
You have a limited amount of time to complete as many of the three levels as possible. If you clear away all the tiles before you run out of time on the first level then you progress to the second level and so on.
You score points for each pair of matching tiles you make. The score is calculated by multiplying the tile value by the total number of tiles remaining.
Bamboo = 1
Characters = 2
Circles = 3
Dragons = 4
Wind = 5
Flower = 6
Seasons = 7
If you make pairs in quick succession then you’ll receive a time bonus.
Try and remove the most valuable tiles first to get the highest score multiplier possible.
